Blazon is actually 23 years old! We started small, got bigger, then made the lifestyle choice to reduce our responsibilities so we could enjoy the work we do once again; focusing on quality not quantity.
My experience spans many years, even the pre-computer era when we used drawing boards and pens – not quite slates!
Whilst the technology may have changed or rather is constantly changing, some things remain the same – the processes of coming up with ideas and creative thinking are as important as they’ve ever been. This is where experience counts.
Design, marketing and technology have always been my passions. I moved over to using Apple Mac technology in 1990 and built my first website in 1999. I also continue to study business and marketing and enjoy the flexibility of being able to advise and create marketing and content strategies, as well as being able to actually implement them too.
My business interests also extend beyond Blazon to ‘Pickpokit‘ a growing brand for guitarist, musicians and music lovers, and Motor Repair Marketing a specialist marketing service for the independent automotive garage trade.
Prior to joining Blazon I worked in a number of advertising agencies on brands such as Saab, Mercedes, Bentley, Barclay’s Bank, Hasbro, along with many other b2c and b2b brands and companies – big and small. Projects were equally diverse and ranged from press advertising through to brochures and packaging.
Creative thinking and ideas along with design and typography are areas I particularly enjoy, but I also relish the challenges of running our small design and marketing agency.
My other interests extend to developing the business and products for Pickpokit.
