Blazon Creative Marketing is a creative marketing consultancy practice established by Andy Vickery in response to his own passion and experience in marketing and the realisation that many small to medium size companies lack focus and structure in their business and marketing activities.
This theory manifests itself almost on a daily basis when companies have approached Andy for brochures and websites. When asked questions like, 'who is your target market' and 'what do you want to communicate', these business people, knowing they needed to do something, would reply with 'I want to sell more to anyone who will buy - you tell me what I should do'!
The problem here is that most businesses are started by people who are good at something, but this doesn't usually include marketing. And this isn't really assisted by standard corporate marketing theory being so complex and elusive to the smaller business.
For twenty five years Andy has been in business running his own design and creative marketing companies, working with global brand names such as Hasbro, Glaxo and BMW, along with start-ups and SMEs in a wide variety of industry sectors.
Having started in business at 23 years of age, Andy has learned through experience, continuous self development and a lifelong interest in business and marketing.
In all this time Andy has experienced both boom and bust economies. He has also been involved in other sideline business projects, including typesetting in the late eighties/early nineties, a boardgame and guitars.
But it was in late 2008, whilst having a conversation with a business colleague who posed the question 'where do you find these so called marketing specialists...', Andy realised something he'd actually felt for a long time, that there was a real need for a more relevant, systemised, action based approach to marketing for smaller businesses.
After spending some time researching small business marketing, Andy decided to develop his own system, The High Impact Marketing System, that follows a logical, down-to-earth and relevant path that is perfect for small businesses.
